Overview
BlankOut is a privacy tool that detects and redacts sensitive information from images entirely on your device. We built it because we believe your documents should never leave your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. BlankOut collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, and no crash reports. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How your photos are processed
All image processing — including optical character recognition (OCR), AI detection, and redaction — runs locally on your device. Your photos never leave your phone. No image or extracted text is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Camera and photo access
BlankOut requests camera and photo library access solely to let you select or capture images for redaction. This access is used only within the app and is never shared.
Local storage
The app stores your redacted images and preference data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted.
Third-party libraries
BlankOut uses on-device AI libraries (Google ML Kit, ONNX Runtime) that run fully on your device. No data is shared with these providers through the app.
Children
BlankOut does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
